General Terms and Conditions – BeautysalonKB
1. General
These terms and conditions apply to every offer, treatment, and transaction between BeautysalonKB and the client to whom BeautysalonKB has declared these terms applicable, insofar as the parties have not expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
2. Best Efforts
BeautysalonKB will perform treatments to the best of its knowledge and ability, in accordance with professional standards and the state of scientific knowledge at that time. BeautysalonKB will inform the client, as far as reasonably possible, of any financial consequences resulting from changes to or additions to the treatment.
3. Appointments
The client must notify BeautysalonKB of any cancellation or change to an appointment as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours prior to the appointment. Appointments can only be changed or cancelled during opening hours, either by telephone or email.
For appointments booked online, a deposit of 20 percent is required. This deposit is non-refundable but will remain as credit in the salon within the same calendar year. For example, a deposit paid in 2025 is valid only in 2025. Large treatments also require a deposit. Deposits are forfeited in the event of late cancellation or a no-show, regardless of the reason.
If the client does not cancel the appointment at least 48 hours in advance, BeautysalonKB will charge 50 percent of the treatment price. If the appointment is cancelled on the same day as the treatment, the full amount (100 percent) will be charged. In the event of a no-show, the full treatment price will also be charged.
If the client arrives more than five minutes late, BeautysalonKB may shorten the treatment accordingly while still charging the full agreed fee. If the client arrives fifteen minutes late or more, BeautysalonKB reserves the right to cancel the appointment due to scheduling constraints and charge 100 percent of the treatment price.
BeautysalonKB must notify the client of any cancellation as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours prior to the appointment. Neither party is obliged to comply with these obligations in cases of force majeure, as defined by applicable law.
4. Payment
Payment must be made in cash or by debit card.
A deposit of 20 percent applies to all treatments. This deposit will be deducted from the total amount if the client attends the appointment. Deposits are non-refundable. For online bookings, a 20 percent deposit is charged each time. This deposit remains valid for three months.
All listed prices include VAT. Promotional offers are valid during the stated period and/or while stocks last. In the event of non-payment after the invoice due date and reminder, BeautysalonKB is entitled to refer the claim to a debt collection agency or bailiff. All resulting costs will be borne entirely by the client.
5. Personal Data and Privacy
Prior to the first treatment, the client must provide BeautysalonKB with all information that BeautysalonKB indicates is necessary, or that the client reasonably should understand is necessary, for the proper performance of the treatment. BeautysalonKB records the client’s personal data in an automated system and on a client record card and processes confidential data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. BeautysalonKB will not sell or rent the client’s data to third parties without prior written consent.
6. Confidentiality
BeautysalonKB is obliged to maintain confidentiality regarding all confidential information shared by the client during the treatment. Information is considered confidential if stated as such by the client or if this follows from the nature of the information. Confidentiality does not apply if BeautysalonKB is legally required to disclose the information pursuant to a statutory provision or court order.
7. Liability
BeautysalonKB is not liable for any damage resulting from incorrect and/or incomplete information provided by the client regarding relevant medical conditions, medication use, work activities, or leisure activities. BeautysalonKB is not liable for damage to or loss of personal belongings brought into the salon by the client.
8. Damage and Theft
BeautysalonKB has the right to claim compensation if the client damages furniture, equipment, or products. BeautysalonKB will report theft to the police.
9. Complaints
If the client has a complaint about a treatment or product, this must be reported to BeautysalonKB as soon as possible, but no later than five working days after discovery. BeautysalonKB will respond appropriately within five working days. If a complaint is found to be justified, BeautysalonKB will perform the treatment again as agreed, unless this has demonstrably become pointless for the client and the client has confirmed this in writing.
10. Proper Conduct
The client is expected to behave appropriately in the salon in accordance with generally accepted standards. If the client continues to display improper behaviour after repeated warnings, BeautysalonKB has the right to deny the client access to the salon without stating reasons.
11. Applicable Law
All agreements between BeautysalonKB and the client are governed by Dutch law. In the event of differences in interpretation of the content and scope of these terms and conditions, the Dutch text shall prevail. The most recently filed version, or the version applicable at the time the agreement was concluded, shall apply.
12. Price Changes
BeautysalonKB reserves the right to make interim price changes without prior notice.
